Vandana C. – Co-Teacher
Vandana (Dana) started with RMA in January 2018 as a teacher’s assistant. She is a certified Child Development Associate (CDA) and has Early Childhood Teacher Qualification in Colorado. At RMA, she helps provide a positive learning environment where students and teachers collaborate with each other to make and complete their goals. Dana has a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Quality Control and hopes to instill in children the importance of eating nutritious food. She believes kindergarten years are the formative years in a child’s life. She wants to help the children make good choices to stay happy and healthy.
Dana has been in an educational position since 2014, as a childcare attendant at the Parker Rec Center as well as with the Kumon Learning Center for several years, as a math and English language tutor. She enjoys every aspect of teaching and has realized over these years that the kids can teach us as much as we teach them. This is one of her favorite things about the teaching profession.
Dana moved to Parker in the summer of 2014 from Tampa, Florida, along with her husband and two kids. Dana and her husband are originally from Mumbai, India. Having grown up in a tropical climate, their move to Denver was a learning experience. However, after living here since 2014, she would not think of living in any other place; they love it here. Both of her kids go to Challenge 2 Excellence Middle school.
