About Renaissance Montessori in Parker Colorado

Preparing Your Child Every Day

Each hands-on activity, each academic experience is designed to help your child become a self-directed, self-motivated, and self-confident lifelong learner. One day’s lessons may be focused on functions of the human body while another day’s may encourage children to explore what makes the earth’s continents distinct from one another. Frequent art activities help your child express himself or herself in a multitude of ways.

When a child graduates from Renaissance Montessori Academy he or she enters elementary school ready to learn in a structured environment. Isn’t that what you want for your child?

Parents Have Always Been Our Partners

Renaissance Montessori Academy opened in August of 1995, the result of an intensive six-month effort by a parental task force. These parents had children who would be attending The Renaissance School, a Douglas County charter school that would be opening at the same time and desired the highest-quality pre-school and kindergarten program possible for the younger siblings.

That’s why many of those parents became the original members of the Renaissance Montessori Academy Board of Directors and,16 years later, Renaissance Montessori Academy is a community of learners continuing to prepare kids for elementary school.

Just as was the case when we opened our doors, parents are encouraged to participate in our activities. Whether it’s for special events, field trips, lessons about their professions, or one-on-one discussions of educational and developmental issues with teachers, parents are a vital part of the learning that goes on here.

The Renaissance staff conducts one meeting early in the year to discuss our philosophy of child development with parents. Then we host more meetings to celebrate the achievements of the students. Our goal is to bring students, teachers and parents together in a community that promotes curiosity and a lifelong love of learning that can’t be equaled anywhere else.
